Event Clothing benefits from America's Cup
The article discusses how the America's Cup benefited. Event Clothing, including the Line 7 and Musto brands of marine wear, was founded in 1989. During the 2002/2003 America's Cup campaign it became exclusive supplier to Team New Zealand and the Cup's migration offshore enabled it to enter the export market. The campaign has lifted Event Clothing's export profile, the proportion of sales going offshore is now up to 70 percent.

Laural Barrett - Miss Christchurch, is the newly crowned Miss Universe New Zealand 2007. Laural will now travel to Mexico City and represent New Zealand at the Miss Universe pageant.

Police raids in Christchurch on Monday were aimed at finding a local activist who had attended one of the militant training camps in the Bay of Plenty, a source close to the man says.

If you couldn’t make it up there here is an article about the Ellerslie International flower show organized by Auckland Botanic Garden. The show was aimed at displaying New Zealand's native plants. Each garden displayed at the show presented a different theme. One of the gardens was designed according to an urban theme by landscape design students Matt Mclsaac and Mat Ransom while another garden designed by landscape designer Stuart Ferries displayed the Amazon basin.
 
Christchurch buys the Ellerslie Flower Show
Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker has hit back at an "apparent addiction to negativity" after criticism of the council buying the Ellerslie International Flower Show.
