Stepping Up [Digital Banking Workshop]
Stepping UP offers free community programmes that support New Zealanders to build their computer, smartphone and digital skills in small easy steps.
Join us on the 5th of September. as weThis workshop consists of 3 courses: Digital Banking – Introduction, Digital Banking – Safety & Security and Digital Banking – Transactions, you can attend all three courses with breaks in-between or pick and mix the courses.
Intro to Smartphones
Basic tuition to get you started using your cell phone and tips and tricks you may not know.
Prerequisites: Your Smartphone
You will learn how to use a Smartphone for everyday life:
• Connecting WiFi
• Setting up your email
• The lock screen
• The App Store
• Switching between apps
• Setting main apps & folders
• The Camera
• Copy and pasting text
• Keep an eye on battery power
• Mobile data usage
Intro to Tablet
You will learn how to move around your Tablet, how to connect to the Internet and use apps.
Prerequisites: Your Tablet
You will learn how to use a Tablet for everyday life:
The differences between a PC and a Tablet
Touch, tap, swipe, pinch, hold and drag
Connecting to WiFi
Set up security
Surfing the Web
How to download and install Apps (programmes)
How to use your tablet for e-Reading
